Destroyed Water Tower is a memorial of the civil war in Sri Lanka which is situated along the Kandy – Jaffna Highway in Kilinochchi. Kilinochchi was an area controlled by the LTTE during the war and has been destroyed much during this period. In 2008, the LTTE destroyed the water tower which supplied water to the entire city of Kilinochchi. The tower was entirely destroyed and its remnants can be seen fallen on the ground as a reminder of how brutal the civil war was in Sri Lanka.
