Wewessa Ella Waterfall is situated along the Peradeniya-Badulla-Chenkaladi Highway in the district of Badulla. This waterfall stands at a height of 22 m and is sourced from a tributary of Bathulu Oya. Wewessa Ella Waterfall flows only during the rainy season and is in danger of drying up due to cutting down of the surrounding forest. It is a relatively small waterfall which is beautiful although not very popular.
