It is a popular Hindu temple in the Nuwara Eliya district where many devotees from Nuwara Eliya and across Sri Lanka come to worship and pay homage to God Hanuman, the deity of the temple. The temple consists of a 5 m tall statue of Hanuman which is known to be the tallest statue of Hanuman in the country. Shri Bhakta Hanuman Temple was constructed in 1999.
