Hurulu Eco National Park is a wildlife and safari park situated on the Trincomalee Road in Habarana. It is a thriving eco system with a variety of animals especially being a very important habitat of the Sri Lankan elephants. The elephants move on to Hurulu Eco National Park for the final leg of their migration during the month of December to January.

Hurulu Eco National Park was designated as a biosphere reserve in 1977. It is a habitat for elephants, leopards, parrots, jungle fowls, hawks etc.

Getting to Hurulu Eco National Park

From Sigiriya take the Sigiriya Road and go past Moagaswewa up until you reach Habarana. From Habarana travel about 3 km down the Trincomalee Road to reach the Hurulu Eco National Park.
