Gal Oya National Park is situated in Henebadda in the Ampara district. It is one of the most untouched of all national parks in Sri Lanka and the only one where you can take a boat safari. Get up close and personal with elephants swimming in the water and crocodile basking under the sun. The park is rich in flora and fauna, including elephants, crocodiles, birds, leopards, and reptiles.

Getting to Gal Oya National Park

From Ampara travel approximately 23.8 km along the Ampara – Inginiyagala Road passing Polwatta to reach the Gal Oya National Park which is situated in the Ampara district.
