Temple Trees is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, which is situated in central Colombo.

Temple Trees is the official residence of the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, which is situated along the main road in central Colombo. The building has also been used by several Presidents of the country, in recent times. Temple Trees dates back to the 19th century when several British officials used it as their residence. At present it is owned by the Government of Sri Lanka. Although it is the official residence of the Prime Minister, some Prime Ministers have used their own houses for residential purposes.

Getting to Temple Trees

From Colombo travel approximately 1.8 km along McCallum Road towards Kovil Veediya and a further 2.3 km along the Colombo – Batticaloa Highway to reach the Temple Trees in Colombo.
