Ridiyagama Safari Park is situated in Ridiyagama in the district of Hambantota. The park, which was opened to the public on 28 May 2016, is Sri Lanka’s first every safari park. It spreads over an area of 500 acres and consists of about 22 species of animals which includes mammals and birds. Some of the main attractions of the park are the African lion and Sri Lankan elephant.
