Nagaramaya is a Buddhist temple situated on Nihena Road in Hikkaduwa. It is a small temple mostly visited by locals. Since it is off the radar of most tourists, the temple is the ideal place to observe the Buddhist monks at their rituals and learn something about local traditions. The main viharaya has a reclining Buddha statue in it and there are several other smaller temples surrounding it. The place is very quiet and serene.
