Mannar Bridge is situated along the Medawachchiya-Talaimannar Highway in Mannar. The bridge connects Mannar to the mainland and is the only road bridge to the island. It was built in 1930 but was mostly destoryed from the civil war in Sri Lanka. It was later renovated and reopened in March 2010. This two lane bridge, with a width of 10.4 m and extending 157 m in length, is part of the A14 highway which is the Medawachchiya-Talaimannar highway.

Getting to Mannar Bridge

From Mannar travel 1.1 km along the Thalvupadu-Mannar Road and 1.5 km along the Medawachchiya-Talaimannar Highway to reach the Mannar Bridge.
