Madhu Road National Park

Madhu Road National Park is situated approximately 25 km east of Mannar in Northern Sri Lanka.

Madhu Road National Park is situated approximately 25 km east of Mannar in Northern Sri Lanka. It was designated as a sanctuary on 28 June 1968 and was given the status of a national park on 22 June 2015. Madhu Road National Park has a diversified range of flora and fauna. Birds and wildlife in the park include black drongo, Sri Lankan green pigeon, Sri Lankan grey hornbill, Sri Lankan jungle fowl, Asian elephant, bear, golden jackal, Indian hare, leopard, purple-faced langur, water buffalo and wild boar.

Getting to Madhu Road National Park

From Mannar travel along the Medawachchiya-Talaimannar Highway, Puliyadi Irakkamam-Madhu Road and Madhu-Palampiddi Road to reach the Madhu Road National Park.
