Lankarama Dagaba is an ancient stupa which is situated along Lankarama Road in Anuradhapura. The stupa was built during the reign of King Walagamba. The ancient stupa was destroyed long time ago. The stupa that stands at this location today was renovated later on. There are rows of stone pillars surrounding the stupa which indicates the existence of a vatadage which would have been there in the ancient days. At present, Lankarama Dagaba stands at a height of 14 m. The man-made pond “Eth Pokuna” (Elephant Pond) is also located close by. Lankarama Dagaba belongs to the “Atamasthana” of Anuradhapura.
