Koddiyar Bay, also known as the Trincomalee Bay is Crescent-shaped bay in the Indian Ocean, situated in Trincomalee in the Eastern shores of Sri Lanka.

Koddiyar Bay, also known as the Trincomalee Bay is Crescent-shaped bay in the Indian Ocean, situated in Trincomalee in the Eastern shores of Sri Lanka. Koddiyar Bay is 13 km long and 10 km wide with a natural harbor, sandy beaches and a fort. It consists of many islands such as Round Island, Elephant Island, Clappenburg Island, Great Sober Island and Little Sober Island.

Getting to Koddiyar Bay

From Trinco take the Trincomalee Highway and travel about 15.6 km passing China Bay and Clappenburg to reach the Koddiyar Bay.
