Khan Clock Tower is a popular landmark which marks the entrance to Pettah Market at the border of Colombo Fort. The clock tower was built in the early 20th century by the family of Framjee Bhikhajee Khan who hailed from Bombay, India. This family owned many businesses in Sri Lanka including the famous Colombo Oil Mills. A water fountain was also in place at this location which does not function anymore.
