J.R. Jayawardene Centre is a library and museum which is situated along Srimath Anagarika Dharmapala Mawatha in Colombo 07. It was the official premises of the first President of Sri Lanka, Junius Richard (J.R.) Jayawardene. It consists of the former President’s personal library and papers. The centre has a library, museum, archive and also a Japanese museum. It consists of many collections of the former President. The centre can also be used by the public for hosting various events.
