The entrance to the Dalada Maluva is through stone steps. The left side of these stone steps consists of a stone slab with three carved figures: A man pointing towards the Dalada Maluva, a crow and a dog. This is believed to warn all those who come to visit the place, that anybody who acts disrespectfully in the sacred area will be reborn as crows and dogs.
